Introducing Jack - Sophie Morgan

Little Red - Whitney Bell

We are lucky beyond belief to have both these talented young ladies in our cast. Firstly Sophie, she is taking the role of Jack from Jack and The Bean Stalk. She's the one who fights the giant, but is it her fault that the giant came to the land in the first place. Well come and find out. Sophie joined us last year for The Addams Family, and proved herself a reliable and talented singer. She is always on hand to help our with dancing, script and vocals, often singing in when people are missing, and with Sonheim that is a talent.

Now Whitney, we will all remember her portrayal of Wendesday Addams last year, and Red couldn't be more different, this year she gets to show off her youthful exuberance, comedic timing, vocal abilities and knife skills. On a personal note, she and Sophie are great friends and bring a humour and joyful feeling to the rehearsals. They are two girls just enjoying this amazing opportunity and it shows. Get your tickets now to meet them and all your other favourite fairytale folk. We would like to introduce you to:

James Last - The Narrator and The Director

Tracy McOuat - The Witch, Assistant Director and Choreographer

And a special mention to Mike Ames - Musical Director.

James and Tracy make up two thirds of the production team, and we feel it would be unfair to not include Mike on this post. They are without a doubt A fantastic team who work together well and support each other in all aspects of the production.

James as the Narrator. It is a fitting part for him to play. He has seamlessly guided us throughout the process, bringing his unique creativeness to fruition, and inspiring each of us to do our best and push our boundaries. He is an eccentric narrator and this role suits him well, and none of us would change him.

Tracy, this part has brought her to new depths (literally), Mike and James have dragged her vocal range down to the literal depths for some of the music and I'm sure it will be a surprise to many who are used to hearing her on the top notes as our reliable top soprano. She has taken to the role with gusto, and her friends in the society comment how strange it is to see her so angry and shouting all the time. As assistant director she has kept James sane, and as choreographer she has tried to bring the whimsical nature of the music into the large chorus numbers, with James guidance.

Mike as our Musical Director. This show would not be taking place if it were not for the patience of this man. He has guided us through Sondheims woods and out other the side (Almost), and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. These guys along with the cast have worked so hard, please support them and local theatre.
